HORROR ART PROFILE: JEREMY CROSS!

Here at ICONS, we're always striving to expand upon more then just horror movie news. We want to bring you the latest going on in horror "culture" as well. So we thought it'd be fun to open you faithful readers up to the world of horror art. This week at Hyaena Gallery - "JEREMY CROSS: ANATOMY OF FAITH"

The ever-popular Bastard Artist returns with his fourth solo exhibit here at Hyaena Gallery. In this collection of over 30 + works Jeremy Cross examines the human condition and it's tumultuous relationship with Faith through the catalyst of human anatomy.

This is Jeremy's most personal and conceptual series to date: A showing of both oil paintings and his signature pyrographic work that reveals a quantum leap in his artistic progression.

A limited edition of hand painted Ghostapuss (Cross' iconic character) cast sculptures will also be available during this show with a very special Ghostapuss being offered during a random drawing. Do not miss this show!

HORROR ART PROFILE: JEFF REBNER!

Here at ICONS, we're always striving to expand upon more then just horror movie news. We want to bring you the latest going on in horror "culture" as well. So we thought it'd be fun to open you faithful readers up to the world of horror art. This week at Hyaena Gallery - "Land Of Nod: artwork by JEFF REBNER".

Jeff Rebner is a veteran illustrator with deep roots in the comic book and horror realms. In the nineties, when the comic industry was in its heyday, Jeff worked with Wildstorm Studios on books like Cybernary and Wetworks for Image Comics. Later, he continued in the industry on titles such as The Incredible Hulk for Marvel Comics. Throughout the years he has also contributed pin-ups and artwork to various trading card sets and role-playing games.

Known for his imaginative design, distinctive inking style, and his bold coloring, Jeff remains a favorite with his steadily growing fan base. Currently, Jeff resides in Los Angeles where he works in animated television. Most notably you can see his work on the prime time shows, King of the Hill and American Dad.

HORROR ART PROFILE: BIG TASTY & KAT PHILBIN! (SIBLING RIVALRY SHOW)

Here at ICONS, we're always striving to expand upon more then just horror movie news. We want to bring you the latest going on in horror "culture" as well. So we thought it'd be fun to open you faithful readers up to the world of horror art. Last weekend, Hyaena Gallery in Burbank, California opened up the "Sibling Rivalry" exhibit featuring the artwork of The Big Tasty and Kat Philbin. HORROR ART PROFILE: CLINT CARNEY!

Here at ICONS, we're always striving to expand upon more then just horror movie news. We want to bring you the latest going on in horror "culture" as well. So we thought it'd be fun to open you faithful readers up to the world of horror art. Last night, the Hyaena Gallery over in Burbank, California featured an exhibit of the work of Clint Carney, artist extraordinaire and frontman of the band SYSTEM SYN. His work (pictured below) is on display at the gallery until July 15th, so if you're anywhere near the Burbank area, you really should come down to Hyaena Gallery and see it for yourself. Of course, you can also purchase the work below via Hyaena's website right HERE! With all that said, let's take a quick peek at the horror art of Clint Carney!

The the center is "Sophisticate". Top to bottom on the left, "Spurt" and "I". Top to bottom on the right, "Stigmata" and "Thought Criminal".

VIDEO: Cam Rackam & Clint Carney Live Painting Session At Hyaena Gallery!

This was just too cool not to share. This past weekend artists Clint Carney and Cam Rackam teamed up to do a live painting at Hyaena Gallery in Burbank titled "The Proposal." It's pretty amazing to watch these 2 artists collaborate and see the final piece come together the way it does in this video. Check it out below!



This painting along with the rest of Clint Carney's work is now on display and available for purchase at Hyaena Gallery through July 15th, 2009. Make sure you check it out! There will be a free reception Friday evening, July 3rd from 8PM to Midnight with Carney in attendence. Hope to see you guys there!

ICONS VIDEO: HYAENA GALLERY, BURBANK, CA!

This time, we profile Bill Shafer, the owner of HYAENA GALLERY in Burbank, California. Obviously, Bill is no stranger to the site.
