Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that Ben Ketai is set to direct 30 DAYS OF NIGHT: DARK DAYS, the official sequel to David Slade's 30 DAYS OF NIGHT. Based on the original comic book sequel DARK DAYS, writer/co-creator Steve Niles also penned the script with Ketai. Ketai has experience in the 30 DAYS OF NIGHT universe having worked on the web series "30 DAYS OF NIGHT: BLOOD TRAILS" and "30 DAYS OF NIGHT: DUST TO DUST." The character of Stella Oleson (played by Melissa George in the first film) plays a major role in the story of DARK DAYS, but according to BD will be recast for this direct-to-DVD sequel. Shooting begins tentatively in October in Vancouver. More when we hear it!

I wonder if they will follow the storyline of the graphic novel or go off somewhere else with it. Shame it won't come out in theaters

This movie will be less good since Melissa George isn't going to be in it. I HATE it when there's a sequel and the actor/actress isn't in the second one. It's not the same and the movie/show loses it's flame.
