Shock Till You Drop is reporting that MGM's long-talked about remake of Tobe Hooper's classic POLTERGEIST is still in the future for the studio and that they've even locked down November 24th, 2010 as the release date. Last we heard, Vadim Perelman (HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG) was directing from a script by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White. We reported on a script review in our previous news post HERE, but apparently that was for an early draft of the movie. No cast or shooting start dates have been announced yet but we'll keep you posted!

The original POLTERGEIST was of course directed by Tobe Hooper and produced by Steven Spielberg. It spawned 2 sequels.
