Yahoo has debuted a brand new trailer for the sci-fi/thriller DISTRICT 9, which according to the rating features "bloody violence & pervasive language". The plot details have been fairly secretive up until now, but this trailer sheds a little more light on what we can expect. Check it out below!

Synopsis: An alien race has come to earth on a one-way ticket, becoming stranded in Africa. Now seen as yet another mistrusted minority, the "non-humans" live in a dangerous ghetto and labor for little to no pay. But when a human encounters some strange non-human technology that begins to affect him in disturbing ways, his perspective on the situation changes drastically.

Directed by Neill Blomkamp from a script co-written with Terri Tatchell (based on his short film ALIVE IN JORBURG) and produced by Peter Jackson, DISTRICT 9 stars Jason Cope, Kenneth Nkosi, William Allen Young, Nathalie Boltt, Sylvaine Strik & John Sumner.
