October 6th, 2009 is the release date listed on the First Look Studios website for their DVD of the IT'S ALIVE remake. Directed by Josef Rusnak from a script by Larry Cohen, Paul Sopocy, James Portolese (based on Larry Cohen's original film of the same name) and starring Bijou Phillips (HOSTEL: PART II, WIZARD OF GORE), James Murray (TV's PRIMEVAL), Skye Bennett (DARK FLOORS), Raphaël Coleman and Arkie Reece, IT'S ALIVE is a modern remake of the classic 1970s horror film. When a young woman (Bijou Phillips) learns that she is pregnant, she leaves graduate school to set up a home with her boyfriend in the country. The fate of the happy new family takes a gruesome turn when animals and people end up brutally dead – all with a strange connection to their newborn.
