WOLFMAN Delayed?

FANGORIA is reporting that Universal's upcoming remake of THE WOLFMAN may be moving out of it's proposed April 3rd, 2009 release slot to a Fall 2009 release date instead. No confirmation on any of this yet, but maybe Universal is thinking a Halloween release is more fitting? (Or maybe the film just needs a bit more work.) Whatever the case, we're all going to have to wait just a tad bit longer before seeing Benicio Del Toro transform into a lycanthrope.

The new update of the classic Universal monster is being helmed by director Joe Johnston from a script by Andrew Kevin Walker (SE7EN) & David Self and stars Benicio Del Toro (SIN CITY), Anthony Hopkins (THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS), Emily Blunt (WIND CHILL) & Hugo Weaving (V FOR VENDETTA). Rick Baker provides the make-up FX for the new WOLF MAN! Check out Mezco's WOLFMAN action figure right HERE!
