In what other decade could Freddy Kruger of "A Nightmare on Elm Street", a child murderer, have shared the shelves of the toy stores with Slinky and Teddy Ruxpin, or in what other era could a "Raiders of the Lost Ark"/Indiana Jones inspired toys have been designed to seemingly give kids heart attacks? Those were the days.
