Grindhouse Releasing has set October 28th, 2008 as the release date for the special edition DVD's of two cult-classic genre favorites, PIECES and THE BEYOND! Here's the specs and info from FANGORIA's site:


PIECES, the outlandish chainsaw gorefest by director Juan Piquer Simon, will be presented in a two-disc set highlighted by a new hi-def anamorphic widescreen transfer of the uncensored theatrical cut, in the original English with an optional Spanish soundtrack that contains a Librado Pastor score.
