Has The New JASON VOORHEES Been Found For The FRIDAY THE 13TH REMAKE?!

Yes! According to both Bloody-Disgusting and Aint It Cool News, actor Derek Mears (who's appeared in genre flicks THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2, CURSED and John Carpenter's Masters Of Horror episodes) is in final negotiations to play JASON VOORHEES in the new FRIDAY THE 13TH remake from Platinum Dunes. TEXAS CHAINSAW remake director Marcus Nispel is directing from a script by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (FREDDY VS JASON). SUPERNATURAL's Jared Padalecki has reportedly been cast in the lead roel to square off again Jason. Should be interesting! Hope they go back to the pre-zombie version of Jason from FRIDAY's 2 through 4. He was scary as shit back then!

I personally found the FvJ script to be really dumb and full of mistakes. I hope it isn't as stupid as that movie.

    That's Joe Zaso!

Kane Hodder is THE best Jason PERIOD!!! John Beuchler's Jason design in Part 7 is the best. I'm sure this so called remake will suck.

The myth of Kane Hodder continues...

Jason's a dude in a hockey mask, all of Kane's "method acting" hogwash doesn't change the fact that his job was to look menacing in a mask and do stunts.

And the Friday films he was in are as overrated as his "performances"

But Mikeeee! Kane originated the role!!! ... After 6 previous movies and 6 previous Jason's, of course!

dang that is scary that would freak the crap out of me if you came behind me and scared me
