THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM

A Mansion, Scares and Kate Beckinsale lead THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM; New Poster/Trailer

TDR posterWentworth Miller caught audiences off guard with one hell of a script for the Chan-Wook Park helmed thriller, STOKER, proving that though he’s known for his acting in TV’s Prison Break, he’s also a very talented screenwriter. Personally, I’ve been anxious to see what Miller would do next, writing-wise, and judging from the trailer for THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM, it looks like he’s most definitely not a one-trick pony. The Kate Beckinsale-led thriller revolves around a family moving into a mansion and like we’ve all come to expect from almost every film set in a mansion, things begin to go horribly wrong. Coming to screens on September 9th from the much troubled Relativity Media studio, this one might be what Relativity and their Rogue imprint needs to show audiences that they’re back and ready to kick ass. With a cast led by Beckinsale, Lucas Till (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS) and Gerald McRaney, as well as directed by D.J. Caruso (who co-wrote the film), I’m anxious to see how this one is. What do you fright fanatics think?

In this psychological thriller from the director of Eagle Eye and Disturbia, Dana and David move from Brooklyn to a once-grand southern mansion with their 5 year old son looking for a fresh start. But Dana’s discovery of a secret room unleashes unexplainable events that test her sanity and slowly reveal the home’s terrifying past.
