Rob Zombie’s Blood Soaked 31 Set To Premiere At Sundance Film Festival’s Midnight Section
The 2016 Sundance Film Festival (which runs from January 21-31) is about to get bloody, when it hosts the world premiere of Rob Zombie’s evil clown carnival film, 31, in its Midnight section. From the small amount of photos already released by zombie, the film looks to be quite the hardcore one, and a return to the DEVIL’S REJECTS approach for Zombie.
The much anticipated horror film was recently acquired by Alchemy, for a spring of 2016 theatrical release, which combined with the Sundance premiere announcement, means that it’s getting closer and closer to finally give excited fans a trailer.
31 tells the story of five carnies in 1976 kidnapped on the morning of Halloween and held hostage in a remote industrial Hell. While trapped, they are forced to play a violent game called 31. The mission is to survive 12 hours against an endless gang of grease-painted maniacs.
Zombie had the following to say regarding the film: “We are all super-jazzed with the way 31 turned out. I can’t wait to get to Park City and unleash it on the Sundance Film Festival audience! ”
The cast of 31 includes Malcolm McDowell, Elizabeth Daily, Sheri Moon Zombie, Meg Foster, Daniel Roebuck, Richard Brake, Lew Temple, Ginger Lynn, Judy Geeson, Tracey Walter, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Jeff Daniel Phillips and Torsten Voges
