Henry Rollins-led HE NEVER DIED Launches Campaign To Expand U.S. Release; Red-Band Trailer Debut

Henry Rollins_Still 2One of the many genre gems that caught our attention during this year’s SXSW (South by Southwest) Festival was the Henry Rollins-led film HE NEVER DIED (review). Directed by Jason Krawczyk, the film follows Jack (Henry Rollins), a guy who has a very set daily routine which involves TV, bingo,..and well,..being a 10,000 year old cannibal who needs human blood.  A very interesting concept, the film has the ability to instantly sink its hooks into you, pulling you into a really well written and executed story, and a performance by Rollins that is for the most part, uncharacteristically calm. As we all know, the market has changed so much in the last few years, and bringing quality independent genre films to a wide variety of theaters is no longer a guarantee, so to help the film’s December 18th release date, a brand new Indie GoGo campaign has been launched. This is a film that we genuinely believe in, so if you’ve got a few moments, check out the film’s campaign, throw a few extra bucks their way, and get some cool perks from doing so.

When you find yourself living forever, sure, the first 200, even 300 years might be one grand ball of parties and fornication, But who among us would stay interested after the first 1,000 years, let alone the first 10,000.

And that is where we find Jack, An immortal cannibal detached from humanity.

Depression and severe anti-social behavior has whittled down Jack’s existence to sleeping and watching television. Seeing the human race as little more than meat with a pulse, Jack has no interest to bond with anyone. There’s little purpose for him to make friends with someone he’d eventually eat or outlive by more than a millennia. The fuse is lit when Jack’s past comes back to rattle him. Jack must now walk a tight rope of sobriety and try to eat as few people as possible in this violent tale of personal responsibility. As it turns out, there are very few reasons to live when you can’t die.
