Magnolia Sends CASSADAGA Director’s LAST SHIFT to DVD/Bluray This October

LastShiftFilms that deal with a single night at a location going horribly wrong are right up this writer’s alley. ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13, LET US PREY, I just have such a love for that kind of film. I also loved director Anthony DiBlasi’s film CASSADAGA, so the announcement that we’re getting a DiBlasi film that, guess what?…takes place in a closing police station, is something that has my attention right from the get-go. The CASSADAGA/DREAD director’s newest film, LAST SHIFT now has a DVD/Bluray/Digital street date of October 6th from Magnolia, and from the synopsis and trailer, it sure has our attention. What do you fright fanatics think?

Rookie police officer Jessica Loren (Harkavy) has been assigned the last shift at a closing police station and must wait for a hazmat crew collecting biomedical evidence. Ordered not to leave the station under any circumstance, Jessica comes to learn that it’s more than just an outdated station, it’s home to the ultimate embodiment of evil and his devoted followers, dangerous cult leader Paymon (Mikel). Paymon’s murderous spirit has haunted the station ever since he and two of his followers committed suicide on the night of their arrest. Trapped, Jessica is left to fight for her very survival in the devil’s playground.
