THE INVOKING 2 Trailer Drops, Takes Anthology Approach This Time Around; Hits DVD October 6th

RLJlogoJeremy Berg’s 2013 film THE INVOKING was a very character driven supernatural thriller, focused on a group of friends who go to Sader Ridge, and are victims to an entity that puts them in danger, not only with the spirit but with each other as well. It was a very refreshing take on the possession/haunting film and was a definite standout of that year. Fast forward to today, when the trailer for THE INVOKING 2 dropped. While it seems like an interesting new angle (an anthology this time around?), it feels very different than the first film, which causes me to wonder, why call it THE INVOKING 2? Either way, it looks like a lot of fun, so we’ll be checking this one out, will you fright fanatics be picking this one up when it hits DVD on October 6th from RLJ Entertainment?

Although hundreds of disturbing paranormal events occur every year, most of these chilling encounters go unreported… until now. Bear witness as hapless victims experience the unspeakable terror of confronting demonic forces, murderous poltergeists and other evil entities that are dead set on claiming their souls. Descend into an abyss of waking nightmares as these bloodthirsty, malevolent spirits seek to possess their prey and drag them—kicking and screaming—to hell.

The Invoking 2 is directed by Jamie DeWolf (Smoked), Jay Holben (Black Tar Road), Corey Norman (The Hanover House), Adam O’Brien (ZombieWorld), Patrick Rea (Nailbiter), and first time director Jamie Root. The film stars Allen Lowman (Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula), Meghan McNicol (“Motives & Murders: Cracking The Case”) and Chara Gannett (Justice is Mind).
