Warner Bros. Putting Out 10-Disc CANNON FILMS DVD Collection This September!

250px-Cannon_FilmsGrowing up, Cannon Films was where it was at, when it came to some of the most insane, exploitation-filled greatness. Trips to the theater to see films like MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and COBRA, and VHS rentals of their other films made this writer an imagination-filled kid.

Well, thanks to the gang at WB, a 10-Disc Cannon Films collection is heading to stores and collection shelves this September 29th and boy, is it filled with good ones. Making the boxset even more appealing, is the addition of Mark Hartley’s VERY entertaining documentary about the Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus-ran studio, ELECTRIC BOOGALOO: THE WILD, UNTOLD STORY OF CANNON FILMS. For the complete rundown of the collection, read on!

Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films (2014)

ElectricBoogaloo_1Director Mark Hartley takes us on a hilarious thrill ride through the masterworks of Yoram Globus and the late Menahem Golan: two movie-obsessed immigrant cousins who became Hollywood’s ultimate gate-crashers.

With hair-trigger randomness, these cousins of chaos churned out a breathtaking cavalcade of hits and misses, made movies out of posters, released a sequel before the original film, botched plots, bounced cheques and burned careers – and in doing so changed the way movies were made and marketed.

 Special features include:

o   Deleted Scenes

o   Cannon Film Trailers

The DVD collection will retail for $49.92, while a digital version of the boxset will hit the same day, with a $39.99 price tag. Consider us anxious, what do you genre lovers think?
