Fans of last year’s BAD KIDS GO TO HELL can get excited again, with the new announcement that Sean Astin (THE GOONIES, THE LORD OF THE RINGS, CABIN FEVER: PATIENT ZERO), his daughter Ali Astin, Sammi Hanratty, Drake Bell (Nickelodeon’s “Drake & Josh“)and the always great Gina Gershon (JOE, BOUND) have all joined the cast of BAD KIDS GO 2 HELL, the upcoming sequel to the 2013 horror film. A lot of the plot and twists are being keep under wraps for the time being, but we do know that Ben Browder, who starred as “Max” in the first film is returning not only as the same character, but will be directed BAD KIDS GO 2 HELL, as his directorial debut. Rounding out the cast of the upcoming sequel, are Colby Arps, Sophia Taylor Ali, Matthew Frias and Erika Daly.

“In it’s four years later and a new group of students has been placed in Saturday detention at snooty Crestview Academy.  After one of the kids locks away the teacher assigned to watch them, the five of them very quickly find their ranks dwindling as each meets a gruesome fate. They may make it out of the library, but with a new threat revealing itself around every hallway, is there enough time and resources for at least one of them to make it out alive?”

Production is currently underway, with a summer of 2015 release date in mind. When we get more info, we’ll keep you updated!

BAD KIDS GO 2 HELL is set to be released in the summer of 2015 via Good Kids/Bad Kids.

For those of you who don’t know who Ben Browder is..watch Farscape. This quirky, manic physical actor who has some writer/director hash marks to his name was the eerie light from under the crack of your closet door in the original Bad Kids Go To Hell. I wasn’t impressed with the editing on BKGTH, and suspect the best performances ended up on the editing room floor. (Old expression kids). With Browder at the helm, I’m hoping this long standing sci fi hero can pull this sequel out of detention and put it at the kewl kids table where it belongs…
