Thanks to the gang at Fangoria, news has finally made its way online, regarding the U.S. release date for the Franck Khalfoun-directed MANIAC remake. ICONS OF FRIGHT‘s head honcho Rob G saw the film last year, and judging from what he thought (review) , it sounds like we’re in for a wild ride when this new interpretation of the William Lustig cult classic hits the states on June 21st.
IFC FILMS, under its IFC MIDNIGHT banner, will be releasing the film on June 21st in a limited theatrical run, along with VOD, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, SundanceNow.com, Xbox and Playsation platforms as well. This is definitely one that I’m excited for and anxious to see, what about you Fright Fiends?

Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition.
