Greg McLean’s 2005 film WOLF CREEK introduced us to Mick Taylor, a seemingly nice Australian man who ended up being a serial killer, stalking and eventually dispatching a group of backpackers visiting the Australian outback. The film caught a lot of people off guard and was definitely one of the movies to talk about that year. While horror fans have anxiously been waiting for McLean to make a follow-up to WOLF CREEK, the sequel has been plagued by inventors backing out and other setbacks.
Well it looks like WOLF CREEK 2 is not only in production with a script co-written by Mclean and Aaron Sterns, but it’s been revealed that Ryan Corr, Shannon Ashlyn and Philipe Klaus will be playing Taylor’s newest victims-to-be. Not sure about you guys, but I’m pretty stoked.
Synopsis: “Lured by the promise of an authentic Australian holiday, backpackers Rutger, Katarina and Paul visit the notorious Wolf Creek crater. Their dream Outback adventure soon becomes a horrific reality when they encounter the site’s most infamous local, the last man any traveler to the vast and isolated region ever wants to meet; Mick Taylor.
As the backpackers flee, Mick pursues them on an epic white-knuckled rampage across hostile wasteland. Only one will remain to be dragged back to his lair to witness the true magnitude of his monstrosity. And if the last man standing is to have any hope of surviving where no one else has survived before, he’ll have to use every ounce of cunning to outwit the man behind the monster and become every bit as ruthless as the monster inside the man.”
