Ready for another terrifying round of analog anthology? The folks behind this years’ horror hit V/H/S, along with some new directorial blood, are putting a new tape in the deck come January when S-VHS premieres at the Sundance Film Festival!
The turnaround and secrecy concerning S-VHS is pretty incredible, V/H/S just premiered this past January at Sundance and they’ve somehow gotten the sequel primed for next year’s festival. You’re Next & A Horrible Way To Die director & writer Adam Wingard and Simon Barret (with Barret making his debut as a director) are returning, with Gareth Evans (The Raid), Jason Eisner & Gregg Hale (Hobo with a Shotgun), Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project), and Timo Tjahjanto (Macabre) rounding out the newcomers.
We’ll have to wait and see how S-VHS stacks up against it’s predecessor once reactions begin to pour out in January, but hopefully Magnet Releasing grabs the rights again so we can see a wide release later in 2013.

Synopsis: “Searching for a missing student, two private investigators break into his abandoned house and find another collection of mysterious VHS tapes. In viewing the horrific contents of each cassette, they realize there may be terrifying motives behind the student’s disappearance.”
