Get To Know CARRIE With This International Poster!

More remake news outta NYCC today as the first footage & poster debuted for CARRIE, Kimberley Pierce’s modern update of Stephen King’s classic novel. You can check out the striking poster above.

Bloody Disgusting attended the panel and reported their description of the trailer:

Expansive view of the city from above, it’s nighttime, dark, panning through the street. The entire city is on fire and trashed, everything is burning cars are on fire. There are character voiceovers talking about Carrie and about supernatural happenings. Finally the camera stops on Carrie, covered from head to toe in the famous blood. She looks pissed, and scared and then it cuts to the title.

Sounds pretty damn wild! I’m definitely interested to see how Pierce’s adaptation differs from De Palma’s seminal take, judging from the description above alone it seems to be bigger and more destructive in terms of scope, and Carrie’s telekinetic powers.

CARRIE opens everywhere March 15th, 2013!

Synopsis: “A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
