New Illustrated JOHN DIES AT THE END Poster Is Funky Bliss!

Magnet Releasing has premiered a brand spankin’ new poster for JOHN DIES AT THE END, Phantasm director Don Coscarelli’s adaptation of David Wong’s novel of the same name, and it’s funky and awesome as hell. Magnet has an incredible track record of giving their acquired films gorgeously illustrated posters that homage yesteryear’s one-sheets, and JDATE‘s art is no exception. I haven’t even seen the film, but after taking numerous film festivals by storm where people have hailed it as an instant cult classic, I already want to add this beauty to my wall. We’ll have our chance to check out the film when it debuts on VOD December 27th, with a limited theatrical release planed for February 3rd, 2013!

Synopsis: “In John Dies at the End, it’s all about the Soy Sauce, a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. Users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly, a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John (Rob Mayes) and David (Chase Williamson), a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can’t.
