BEYOND FRIGHT: Song Of The Week – ANTHRAX “Only”

Holy crap! It’s already another Friday which means it’s time for another song of the week. And we almost missed it! I had a few tunes in mind, but I’m going to save those for October since they’re definitely more Halloween-ie. For now, here’s one that came on in the car earlier this afternoon and for me personally, this is the perfect pop heavy metal song.  Hell, Anthrax are fellow New Yorkers (which is where ICONS originated) and the fellas are huge horror fans. We even interviewed drummer Charlie Benante about his love of all things horror back HERE! So “Only” comes from the “Sound Of White Noise” record, one of my personal faves and I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that John Bush was the best singer Anthrax ever had, at least for me as a long time fan. So let’s kick off the weekend right! And let’s crank a little Anthrax, shall we?!

How ’bout a live version of this song from the Arsenio Hall show?!
