[REC] 3: GENESIS Couldn’t Come Soon Enough!

Ah yes. I know, I know. I’m way behind on posting this new poster for [REC] 3 that debuted last week, but I’ll take any chance I can to gush about the [REC] movies! So here we go…

I absolutely love the first [REC]. I consider it not only the best “zombie” movie of the last decade or so, but it’s also the best of the recent crop of  “found footage” flicks. [REC] 2 is easily one of the most unique and bizarre sequels ever made to a successful film and stands as a great “F you” to the American remake QUARANTINE. (Try remaking [REC] 2 when you omitted the scariest aspect of the ending of the first movie, ya bas-turds!) While the third [REC] looks to be more of a prequel to the other films and also (for the most part) drops the “found footage” angle, it still looks like it’ll be a total blast. Below is the latest theatrical poster, along with the synopsis and trailer. Magnet will release the film on VOD August 3 and in theaters starting September 7.

Synopsis: Koldo and Clara are about to celebrate the most important day of their lives: their wedding. Everything appears to be running smoothly and the bride and groom and their families are enjoying a wonderful day; that is until some of the guests start showing signs of a strange illness. Before they know what’s happening, the bride and groom find themselves in the middle of a hellish ordeal, as an uncontrollable torrent of violence is unleashed on the wedding. Amidst the chaos, Koldo and Clara become separated and begin a desperate search for one another. What started off as an idyllic day quickly descends into a nightmare of the worst kind…
