Stevan Mena Week at Icons of Fright

It’s Stevan Mena Week!

As Icons of Fright founder Mike Cucinotta and I are native Long Islanders, we’re proud to announce Stevan Mena Week, in honor of our fellow Long Islander.

Stevan Mena is the director of MALEVOLENCE and BRUTAL MASSACRE, the former a straight-up horror flick and the latter a satire of what it takes to make a low budget horror film.  BEREAVEMENT, the follow-up to MALEVOLENCE, premieres this Friday, July 16, at the Long Island International Film Expo in Bellmore, New York.  Ticket information is available on their site.

Stevan has been kind enough over the years to interview with Icons several times.  Enjoy each of those interviews by following the links below:

We hope you enjoy Stevan Mena Week here at Icons of Fright.  Look  for reviews of MALEVOLENCE and BRUTAL MASSACRE in the upcoming days, as well as other pieces on Long Island’s filmmaking prodigy.  And if you live in the tri-state area, join Mike Cucinotta and I at the premiere of  BEREAVEMENT on Friday, July 16, where you’ll get the chance to meet Stevan himself.
