VINTAGE HALLOWEEN FRIGHT INTERVIEWS!

PJ SOLES! Everyone TOTALLY knows and loves actress PJ Soles. She’s been in the comedy hits ‘Rock N’ Roll High School’, ‘Stripes’ & ‘Jawbreaker’. She’s also appeared in genre related films such as ‘Carrie’, ‘The Possessed’ & ‘Uncle Sam’. But all horror fans know her best as Lynda, one of Michael Myer’s first victims in the original John Carpenter classic, ‘HALLOWEEN’. Here’s what we learned from the lovely PJ Soles!

ELLIE CORNELL! Most genre fans know actress Ellie Cornell as Rachel Carruthers of both ‘Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers’ and ‘Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers’. But she also currently runs a production company with her husband called ‘Mindfire Entertainment’. They’ve produced the films ‘Free Entertprise’, ‘The Specials’ and ‘House Of The Dead’, in which Ellie also made an appearance. We caught up with her to hear about her Halloween experiences and what her company has been up to.

BRAD LOREE! Most people may not recognize Brad Loree right away, but to genre fans, we know that it’s because he’s either risking his neck doing stunts on a production or wearing a white mask. Brad’s done dozen’s of stunts thru-out his career on films such as ‘The 6th Day’, ‘Final Destination 2’ & ‘House Of The Dead’. He was the most recent actor to portray Michael Myers in ‘Halloween: Resurrection’. We spoke to Brad about his early days breaking into the stunt business & his take on the iconic movie maniac, Michael Myers. He turned out to be one of the nicest Icon interviews yet. Which makes us wonder… how can someone so darned nice, play someone who’s meant to be… pure EVIL? Cue the Halloween theme music.

DON SHANKS! If you’re a HALLOWEEN fan, then we’re sure you know Don Shanks played the infamous "shape" in ‘Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers’. Don’s had an incredible long career as an actor & stuntman in the biz. We sat down for a quick conversation & he told us a bit about first starting out as an actor/stuntman, the direction the Halloween series COULD have taken, and reveals to us that he’s got another "killer" part in his future. Read on for the FRIGHT exclusive interview with Don Shanks!

DAN FARRANDS! Do we have any ‘HALLOWEEN’ fans out there? Then you are in for a treat. Because as a fan myself, this has to be one of my all time favorite interviews. I got the chance to talk to Dan Farrands, the writer behind ‘Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers’. And finally, he sets the record straight on what he had planned for his ‘Halloween’ sequel, which SHOULD have been the ultimate love letter to the fans. He also created ‘The Tooth Fairy’ character & worked on the ‘Amityville Confidential’ documentaries for the History Channel. He gives us the truth on all of the above projects and more. Read on!

GREG NICOTERO! You can’t be a horror fan and NOT know the name KNB EFX. Founded by Robert Kurtzman, Greg Nicotero and Howard Berger, the company have worked on just about every genre picture in the past 2 decades including ‘Evil Dead 2’, ‘Hostel’, ‘The Hills Have Eyes’, ‘Halloween 5’, ‘Land Of The Dead’, ‘Kill Bill’ and more. Icons Of Fright were lucky enough to sit down with one of KNB’s founders, Greg Nicotero. Sit back & enjoy, fiends. This is one of our fave FRIGHT exclusive interviews!

LANCE WARLOCK! You may remember Lance Warlock as the "boom box boy" in Halloween 2; who for a few seconds, comes face to face with Michael Myers. But the Michael in question was none other then his father, Dick Warlock. We spoke to Lance about his experiences on Halloween 2, hanging out with his father on various sets and his musical career; which has led him to scoring. Read on!

TONY MASI! Tony Masi started out by making a fan related website called the Myers Museum to practice his web designing skills & showcase his Halloween poster collection. Before he knew it, the Myers Museum became one of the most visited sites by Michael Myers fans everywhere & hosted one of the first Halloween message boards. Fans would write in, share their collectibles & network with other fans. He later helped organize the 25th anniversary convention for the original Halloween on October 31st thru November 2nd of 2003 in Pasadena, CA and currently holds the gig as webmaster for Halloween Movies.com, the official site of Michael Myers.

PAUL SWEARINGEN! Paul Swearingen was one of the event organizers for 2003’s now historic 25th anniversary HALLOWEEN convention – ‘Halloween Returns To Haddonfield’. We talked to him about all things HALLOWEEN in this FRIGHT exclusive interview!
